The Web of Science is an online citation index which provides access to the Science Citation and Social Sciences Citation Indexes from 1972 to the present. It allows users to search millions of records for current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from more than 10,000 journals. Types of literature indexed include: peer reviewed journal articles, original research articles, reviews, editorials, chronologies, and abstracts, as well as other areas. Users can navigate to electronic full-text journal articles from the citations.
